BLACK ANGUS BULLS
We are firm believers in producing cattle that work for their living and look good doing it. Our bulls are developed in pastures that requires them to travel through canyons to go between water and feed. We believe this helps build muscle as well as keeps them in great shape. We look forward to providing you with quality cattle that will perform both in the pasture and on the rail, we stand behind our genetics. We have joined forces with Justin Axeman on our nutrition. He has changed a few things in our feeding rations, and we are really liking the results we're seeing.
A.I. SERVICES
Matthew and Lacey have been using A.I. to enhance their herd genetics for over 15 years. We have seen the value in this practice and enjoy helping others improve their genetics as well through custom work. HEIFER DEVELOPMENT
As with our bulls, we believe that the heifers that stick around to be added to the cow herd had better be able to hold their own. We believe that growing heifers on cornstalks is a great way to weed out the heifers that are not as feed efficient.
Depending on the desired calving dates, we summer the heifers in the canyons. We have developed registered and commercial heifers for many years, preparing them for real world environments so they can thrive.
BACK GROUNDING/
WEANNING
We have fed calves for several years now, and many of those have been through years of drought. This has given us opportunities to learn and developed a protocol for bringing in fresh weaned calves. We have different protocols for different regions and have the resources to improvise when surprises show up. We spend the first 2 weeks developing gut health so there is an easier transition when we move them to a growing ration. We believe in giving them the best chance possible which means keeping them healthy and happy as well as keeping you informed.

Brent Cattle Company is a family owned and operated business. Located in the beautiful Loess Canyons of Maywood Nebraska! We are excited to offer the backgrounding and weaning of calves, A.I. Services and Registered Black Angus Bulls and Heifers. It is our goal to be good stewards of the land and animals that God has placed in our care. In doing this we believe that being honest and up front in the care of your animals is crucial in providing them with the best care possible.
